Host a Summer Building Impact Gathering

Host a Summer Building Impact Gathering for the Jimmy Simpson Foundation's capital campaign, Foundations for the Future

Open your home, or your network, to a conversation that matters. Discover how your summer get-togethers can help build the future of lifelong brain injury care.

Summer is a natural time for connection. It is a season of backyard barbecues, lingering conversations on the porch, and gathering with the people who mean the most to us. This July, we invite you to take those natural moments of connection and turn them into something even more meaningful by hosting a Building Impact Gathering.

What is a Building Impact Gathering?

Building Impact Gatherings are intimate, intentional events designed to bring people together around a cause that matters. Rather than a large, formal gala, these gatherings offer an opportunity to introduce your network to the Jimmy Simpson Foundation's vision for lifelong brain injury care in a setting that feels personal and grounded in connection.

They are perfect for guests who might not love big events, as smaller groups of 10 to 20 people often lead to deeper, more honest conversations. Whether it is a morning "Coffee & Conversation," an evening "Cocktails & Connection," or a "Dinner With Purpose," you have the complete flexibility to choose the date, time, and format that aligns with your natural hosting style.

Why Now? The Foundations for the Future Campaign

The goal of these gatherings is to raise awareness and support for our Foundations for the Future $20 million capital campaign.

Brain injury is among the most complex and costly conditions to manage long-term, and for many families, the responsibility lasts a lifetime. Safehaven was built for this reality, delivering exceptional care for 27 years with zero pressure injuries. However, in 2024, Safehaven reached full physical capacity, meaning we have had to turn away families simply because no suites were available.

The Foundations for the Future campaign will double our capacity from 12 to 24 private suites, modernize our infrastructure, and ensure our promise of lifelong care becomes a permanent reality for generations to come. Because Building Impact Gatherings are low-cost to host, more of every dollar raised goes directly toward making this vital expansion a reality.

A Minimal Lift for a Massive Impact

If you are worried about the logistics of hosting, don't be! Building Impact Gatherings are specifically designed to be a minimal lift for the host.

When you sign up, the JSF team will provide you with a complete Host Toolkit that has everything you need to help recruit, plan, and execute a first-class event. You can take the lead on planning, or lean heavily on our team for support along the way. Your main role is simply to welcome your guests, share why JSF’s mission matters to you, and spark an organic conversation.

Together, We Build What's Possible

Your voice, your network, and your leadership can help create a future where individuals living with brain injuries receive the lifelong care, dignity, and joy they deserve.

Open your home, or your network, to a conversation that matters this summer.
